How to Craft a Killer FAQ Page That Saves You Hours

You’re answering the same three DMs between clients: “Can I wear makeup?” “What’s the fee?” “Do I need a patch test?”
That’s not customer service—it’s drift. A strong FAQ fixes it.

Here’s the fast, human way to build a branded FAQ that clients actually read—and how to place it so your team gets their time back.

Step 1: Pull the questions that really show up

Open last month’s inbox, DMs, and front-desk notes. Copy the exact wording clients use. You’ll see patterns fast:

    • Prep & patch tests

    • Policies (deposits, rescheduling, lateness)

    • Sensitivities/meds (retinoids, lash serums, blood thinners)

    • Aftercare & timelines

    • Pricing & how long it takes

Drop the top 10–12 into a doc. That’s your skeleton.

Step 2: Organize like a brain, not a brochure

Group into four clear buckets and keep the order:

    1. Before your appointment (prep, patch tests, meds)

    2. Policies & fees (with numbers)

    3. During & after (what it feels like, healing windows, aftercare)

    4. Basics (price ranges, timing, age/minors)

Add a tiny promise at the top: “Takes 2 minutes. Straight answers; no fluff.”

Step 3: Answer with proof, not paragraphs

    Rules:

    • Write like you speak. One short answer + a specific line.

    • Put numbers where they matter (deposits, fees, time).

    • Link to the next step when it helps.

    Examples:

    • Do I need a patch test?
For brow tint and sensitive clients—yes. Book a free 5-minute test at least 48 hours before treatment.

    • What’s the deposit and fee?
We take a $50 deposit that applies to your service. Less than 24 hours’ notice = $50 fee.

    • I’m on retinoids—can I still get a peel?
Pause retinoids 5–7 days before peels. Tell us in your form; we’ll choose a gentler option if needed.

    • How long does it take?
Lamination 45–60 min. Add tint +10 min.

Step 4: Make it branded and scannable

    • Short headline, calm tone, your brand fonts/colors.

    • Questions as buttons/anchors; answers in tight blocks.

Step 5: Update it on a cadence (tiny, twice a year)

When a question repeats three times in a week, add it. Otherwise, do a 15-minute pass every January and July. Same rhythm as your form tune-ups.

    What to measure (simple)

    • DM volume week over week

    • Door-to-start time (aim <2 minutes)

    • Top clicked questions (which answers are doing the heavy lifting)

    Pin-this checklist

    • Top 10 client-phrased questions

    • Numbers where they matter (deposits, timing)

    • Link in confirmations, reminders, Glow Forms, and front-desk QR

    • Review twice a year; add fast when a new question spikes

Build it once. Place it where it’s seen. Then let your FAQ do the talking while you do the work.
