Let’s be honest: most promos are loud, messy, and attract people who never come back. You don’t need louder—you need cleaner. Here’s a no-drama framework to run a promotion that fills the right time blocks, keeps margins safe, and earns rebooks.

Step 1: Pick one goal (everything else follows)

    Choose just one:

    • Fill a slow block (e.g., Tue–Thu midday)

    • Launch a service (new or refreshed)

    • Increase average ticket (add-ons/retail)

    • Win first-timers (and convert them)

Write it at the top of your plan. If an idea doesn’t serve that goal, it’s out.

Step 2: Choose a promotion style that fits the goal

    • Outcome bundle: Core service + 10-minute add-on + mini aftercare in one time block. (Great for new services.)

    • Bounceback card: Book today, get a small perk on your next weekday visit. (Builds rebooks, not one-offs.)

    • Slow-block window: “Midday Glow spots, Tue–Thu only.” (No discount needed—just time framing.)

    • Partner perk: QR at a local studio/boutique; their clients get a tiny add-on with first booking. (Warmer leads.)

    • Retail boost: “Buy the routine, get your finish step as the add-on today.” (Raises ticket, not time.)

Keep the perk tiny, specific, and aligned with your margins.

Step 3: Set terms in plain language

    Phone-readable, no guessing:

    • Who: new clients, everyone, or members only

    • When: exact dates and days/times it applies

    • What’s included: one line of what they get

    • How to redeem: book via link; no DMs needed

    • Limits: one per person; non-transferable; expires on X date

Example: “Calm Glow Bundle—cleanse + gentle peel + 10-min soothing mask. Tue–Thu only, ends Apr 30. Book via link; one per person.”

Step 4: Build the booking path (no scavenger hunt)

    • Put the promo on top of your menu with the one-line outcome.

    • Add two photos (before/after or setup) and the exact time block.

    • Auto-send intake/consent and aftercare at booking.

    • Require card on file or deposit for peak slots.

Step 5: Prep your scripts (you’ll use them 20x)

    • Caption: “New Calm Glow Bundle—same-day brightness, low downtime. Tue–Thu only. Book here → [link].”

    • At the mirror: “If you love this finish, the bundle includes today’s 10-min mask—want to lock one next Tuesday or Thursday?”

    • DM reply: “Happy to help! All details + dates are here → [link]. Grab any Tue–Thu spot to redeem.”

Step 6: 10-day timeline (copy this)

Day 1: Finalize goal, offer, terms, photos, and menu item.
Day 2: Update website + Google Business Profile; add “Book” post.
Day 3: Email + text to clients (two real time options).
Day 4–5: Stories: quick demo, FAQ sticker, link.
Day 6: Partner post or counter QR goes live.
Day 7: Post client result carousel; tag “who it’s for.”
    Day 8: Mid-promo reminder: “6 Tue–Thu spots left.”
    Day 9: Share a review/quote; invite rebooks.
Day 10: Final-day countdown; show two actual openings.

Step 7: Track the right numbers (so you know if it worked)

    • Bookings from promo (and which channel drove them)

    • Show-up rate for promo appointments

    • Average ticket vs. regular days

    • Rebook rate of promo clients (the real win)

    • Cost vs. revenue (samples, add-on time, partner perks)

If rebooks are weak, keep the outcome but adjust the aftercare + rebook ask—not the price.

Step 8: Guardrails that protect profit

    • Cap add-on time at 10 minutes door-to-door.

    • Keep the perk tied to weekdays so Saturdays stay full-price.

    • Don’t discount the core; package the finish.

    • Limit the run (2–4 weeks). Success = extend; drag = retire.

Step 9: What to post (fast, believable)

    • Before → after → product carousel with one line: who it’s for, what changed, when to return.

    • Tray shot with three labeled items: “What’s inside the bundle.”

    • Short reel: 6–8 clips of the protocol; on-screen text only.

    • Client quote: two sentences max; book sticker attached.

Step 10: Debrief in 15 minutes

    Answer on one page:

    • Did it fill the intended time block?

    • Which post or partner sent the most bookings?

    • What line caused questions (rewrite it)?

    • Keep, edit, or kill? (Circle one and schedule the next run.)

Run promos like systems, not noise. When the goal is clear, the path is obvious—and the calendar shows it.
